What is GPS and how does it work?
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) developed by the United States Department of Defense. It uses a constellation of between 24 and 32 Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, enabling GPS receivers to determine their current location. Your SWAMI receives these signals from as many as 12 satellites above the horizon to pinpoint your position by calculating, with great accuracy, the distance between you and pre-defined targets (Front, Center, Back of green) via a golf course map uploaded onto your unit. All Golf GPS systems leverage this same satellite network
How can the SWAMI help me play better golf?
When you know the exact distance to the Front, Center and Back (FCB) of the green, you can pick the right club for the distance, and do it more quickly. And you don’t have to waste time searching for sprinkler heads – so the SWAMI promotes faster play and lower scores!
What if a golf course is not on my SWAMI?
The SWAMI is preloaded with over 30,000 golf courses worldwide. The SWAMI will only recognize the 5 closest courses to your location at any given time. If you are at a course and do not see that specific course as an option on your SWAMI, call SWAMI Support at 800-777-7899 to verify if the course map is available.
What if my golf course has made changes or renovations?
Call SWAMI Support at 800-284-1220 to make a mapping request. Typically, map requests can take between 2-4 weeks to complete.
What if the SWAMI is providing inaccurate distances?
First, make sure the SWAMI is set to the desired unit of measure (yards or meters). This can be checked within settings. Be sure the SWAMI is on the correct hole number. In some instances, a correction to the course map might be needed. Call SWAMI Support at 800-777-7899 to verify if the course is mapped correctly.
How do I load new or corrected course maps onto my SWAMI?
Every SWAMI GPS device has an update tool. To update the course maps on your SWAMI visit http://www.swamigps.com/product-support or call SWAMI Support at 800-777-7899.
Is the SWAMI waterproof?
The SWAMI Sport is water resistant. It will perform during a rain shower but should not be submerged in any liquid.
What if the screen freezes?
If at any time the screen becomes unresponsive, hold down both Arrow buttons and the OK/Menu button at the same time. This will force the SWAMI to shutoff. The SWAMI can be powered back on and return to normal use. This is often referred to as a “hard reset.”

How long will the SWAMI’s battery last?
The battery will last for two rounds of golf (approximately 8 hours). However, many variables come into play when connecting to satellites and it’s possible the battery life might last longer or for a shorter period of time. Charging the battery before or after every round will be most effective.
What is the warranty policy for the SWAMI?
SWAMI is warranted to be free from defects for up to 1 year of normal use from your registration date.
How do I return a defective SWAMI?
Izzo Golf cannot refund your purchase. Izzo Golf will replace any defective unit within the warranty period. Please call Swami Support at 800-777-7899 to request a Return Authorization. All defective products must be returned to:

How do I return a non-defective SWAMI for full refund?
IZZO Golf can only refund your purchase if the unit was purchased directly from IZZO Golf. Non-defective units need to being returned to the retailer you purchased from, dependent on the store’s formal refund/return policy.
